Whatâs New?
Youâll now see real-time weather data and Ballpark Factor ratings directly inside Outlier for every MLB game. These insights can give you an extra edge especially when betting on home run props.
1. MLB Weather
For each matchup we display:
Temperature & Conditions: Current game-time forecast including cloud cover and precipitation chance.
Wind Direction & Speed: See how wind may help or hurt hitters, whether itâs blowing out to the fences or holding balls in play.
Humidity & Dew Point: Subtle factors that can influence how the ball travels.
All weather info updates in real time so you can adjust your bets right up to first pitch.
Pro Tip: Use the Outlier web app (favored among power users) đĽď¸
1) You can login here https://app.outlier.bet/login (do not click the AppStore button)
2) Make sure to use the same login method you signed up with (email, phone, AppleID, etc).
2. Ballpark Factor
Not all stadiums are created equal. Ballpark Factor measures how friendly each park is for hitters or pitchers:
Higher numbers favor batters (think more extra base hits and home runs).
Lower numbers favor pitchers (expect fewer balls leaving the yard).
For example, Coors Field ranks #1 with a 115 Ballpark Factor, meaning it historically produces significantly more offense than an average MLB park.
Why It Matters for Home Run Props
Combining weather conditions with Ballpark Factor can reveal prime spots for long balls:
A warm, humid night with a breeze blowing out in a hitter-friendly park? Home run chances may rise.
Cool, damp air with wind blowing in? It may be a night to fade those HR props.
