  • Access your Outlier Premium account or Signup for a Trial

How to Interpret Outlier's Trending Picks

Outlier's Trending Picks are packed full of useful information including FanDuel's Parlay Odds, the Total Number of Bets Placed on the exact parlay, and FanDuel's Liability if the parlay hits.

Let's explore each.

Trending Pick Odds

For each of parlay, Outlier highlights FanDuel's parlay odds.

Outlier also lists the odds for each individual leg of the parlay, so that users can choose whether to incorporate or remove each leg in their final betslip.

Still, if users are interested in researching and/or placing only one of the legs of the parlay, they can either click the odds (which will add the bet to My Picks) or click the Market Details button (which will direct the user to a dashboard with all the relevant and bet-specific information about the particular leg).

Total Number of Bets Placed

Outlier displays the Total Number of Bets Placed for each trending parlay. This number gives users insights into how hot the particular parlay is and might help a user predict if and when the parlay odds will change (See Line Movement & Public Betting for more on this).

FanDuel's Liability

Finally, Outlier displays FanDuel's liability for every single parlay. This number shows how much money FanDuel would have to pay bettors if each leg of the parlay were to hit.
